Doctoral Program

The state-recognized Private University in the Principality of Liechtenstein (UFL) has a model character in the area of part-time education and research. We are the only institution in German-speaking Europe to offer the two doctoral programs Medical Science "Dr. scient. med." and Law "Dr. iur." on a part-time basis and orient the organization of teaching to the needs of our working students. Personal support and highly qualified scientists as teaching staff ensure the high quality of our accredited degree programs. We accompany ambitious people who want to combine professional expertise and scientific justification.

The doctoral programs are based on the Law of November 25, 2004 on Higher Education (Higher Education Act; HSG), the Ordinance of August 16, 2011 on Higher Education (Higher Education Ordinance; HSV) and the Qualifications Framework for Higher Education in the Principality of Liechtenstein NQ.FL-HS. Both doctoral programs are based on the Salzburg Principles or the Salzburg II Recommendations published by the European University Association (EUA) in 2010 or their further developments.
