Medical Law:
Law of Human Research, Pharmaceuticals and Genomics
Certificate of Advanced Studies
conducted under the academic supervision of Prof. Dr. Claudia Seitz
Series of lectures, case studies and guest lectures by leading national and international experts, from both the academic and practitioner domains, will provide students with an overview of current legislation in the abovementioned areas of law. The relationships between individual legal norms in the areas of medical law and health legislation will be explored.
Students are offered an insight into ongoing discussions on practical and scientific topics relating to specifically selected developments and topical unresolved legal issues currently under consideration. For each module a case study is developed, reflecting the essential content of the module, and a certificate of achievement is awarded for active participation in each case study.
Structure
The certification course comprises four sequentially structured modules. Individual modules can be studied, provided sufficient student places are available.

The CAS are divided into 12 block course tuition sessions, which are taking place on Fridays and Saturdays, as either face-to-face or online events. For attainment of the “CAS Medical Law” certificate, students have to participate all modules as well as finishing successful completion of examinations (case studies and CAS work).
