Access to the UFL is affected by roadworks
From 19 October until mid-December 2026, the section of Dorfstrasse in Triesen between Dorfstrasse 23 and Fabrikwegli will be closed to traffic due to construction work.
The Private University in the Principality of Liechtenstein (UFL) will remain accessible. The upper large parking lot will continue to be available. Access routes and any diversions will be signposted accordingly.
You may have to take a longer route when travelling to the UFL. We therefore advise you to plan a little extra time for your journey and appreciate your understanding regarding any inconvenience caused.
Update: 19–23 October – Access to the car park from the direction of the Sonnenkreisel is possible without any problems
Location
The Private University in the Principality of Liechtenstein (UFL) is located in the municipality of Triesen.
The UFL rents premises on the ground floor, second floor and top floor of the former Spoerry factory. Its immediate neighbours include the private school formatio and the Gasometer cultural centre.
Anreise
Liechtenstein is only 1½ hours' drive from Zurich and can also be reached by public transport. Austria and Germany are within easy reach. Distances: Zurich 1.5 hours, Munich 2.5 hours, Stuttgart 2.5 hours, Feldkirch 1 hour.

If you are travelling by public transport, take the Liechtenstein Bus to the Sonnenkreisel stop. From the roundabout, follow the road towards the mountain. After approx. 200 m, you will see the old Jenny, Spörry & Cie. cotton mill on your right, a large yellow building.
There are good bus connections from the Sargans, Buchs and Feldkirch railway stations, which are coordinated with the train service.
FromMunich, take the A96 westbound. Then take the A14 towards Feldkirch. After the border, take the A13 towards Schaan/Triesen. Take exit 7 to Triesen and follow the signs to Dorfstrasse 24, 9495 Triesen, where the private university is located.
From Zurich, take the A1 eastbound and then take the A13 towards Chur/Liechtenstein. After the border, take exit 7 to Triesen and follow the signs to Dorfstrasse 24, 9495 Triesen, where the private university is located.
From southern Germany, take the motorway towards Lindau. Cross the border into Austria and continue on the A14 towards Feldkirch. After crossing the border into Liechtenstein, stay on the A14 and take exit 7 to Schaan/Triesen.
Follow the signs to Triesen and take the country road towards Dorfstrasse. The private university is located at Dorfstrasse 24 in 9495 Triesen.
From Austria, take the A14 or A13 motorways towards Liechtenstein. If you are on the A14, take exit 7 towards Schaan/Triesen. If you are on the A13, take the same exit.
Follow the signs fo Triesen and take the country road towards Dorfstrasse. The private university is located at Dorfstrasse 24 in 9495 Triesen.
Plenty of parking spaces are available above the building for a maximum of 24 hours.
Triesen can be reached from Zurich Airport (CH) in 1 hour 40 minutes by public transport or 90 minutes by car. Altenrhein Airport (CH) is 50 km (35 minutes by car) away and Friedrichshafen Airport (D) is 85 km (65 minutes by car) away.
