Research Analytics

Research analytics involves the systematic evaluation of research activities based on existing data. The aim is to make the visibility, influence and development of research comprehensible, presentable in a comparable way and usable for strategic purposes. The focus is on the evaluation of publication data, citation networks, cooperation structures and content developments.

Various tools are available for these bibliometric analyses. The UFL offers a campus-wide licence for Dimensions. The tool enables a wide range of research and in-depth, interdisciplinary evaluations and complements freely accessible platforms for basic analyses.

Dimensions Analytics is available to researchers at the UFL. For licensing reasons, access to the complete database is only possible within the IP range of the UFL. Alternatively, access can be gained via a personal user account with a valid ufl.li email address. Students additionally have the possibility to access the database via the Swissconsortium remote access with their login, also outside the UFL locations.

If you have any technical problems or questions about access authorisation, please write to Dr Daniela Purin. You can recognise the licensed version of this application by the official UFL logo displayed in the lower left corner of the page, provided you are properly logged in.
