Erasmus+
Erasmus+ is the European Union's mobility programme. It offers students, lecturers and staff a wide range of opportunities to gain international experience and contacts and to develop both academically and personally.
Erasmus+ thus facilitates access to international research, broadens professional and language skills and strengthens intercultural experience.
Every higher education institution participating in the Erasmus+ programme must have a valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). The ECHE is awarded by the European Commission and proves that a higher education institution meets all the requirements for successful participation in the Erasmus+ programme.
- ECHE of the UFL
- European Policy Statement (EPS) of the UFL
The obligations and rights of students in the Erasmus+ programme are regulated in the Student Charter.
Lecturers and staff

The Erasmus+ programme promotes the mobility of UFL teaching staff and employees. This includes:
- Teaching mobility abroad: teaching stays by UFL professors at European partner universities.
- Mobility abroad for further training (Training Mobility): Further training stays, including job shadowing, workshops or staff weeks at universities and companies in Europe.
A prerequisite is a cooperation agreement (Interinstitutional Agreement) between the UFL and the host university. Stays can generally last between 2 and 14 days, optionally supplemented by virtual phases or as part of Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP).
Funding includes subsidies for travel and accommodation costs in accordance with the Erasmus+ flat rates.
