Dr. Dr. Baxmann is a board-certified orthodontist and cognitive scientist based in Germany. He studied Orthodontics as well as Organizational and Behavioral Psychology in London. He holds a Doctorate in Dentistry with a focus on Orthodontic Biomechanics and a Doctorate in Medical Science with a focus on Psychology in Education.

In addition to clinical orthodontics, he has a particular interest in decision-making, artificial intelligence, and education.

He is the founder and managing director of the Orthodentix® Practice Group, MyOrthoLab®, PlusSmile® Aligners, and MyOrthoBooks Publishing. He is also the inventor of the LeanOrthodontics® concept (including multiple registered trademarks) and of LeanOrthoAI®.

Dr. Dr. Baxmann’s daily work encompasses clinical orthodontics within his practice group, including its management, as well as lecturing at universities and providing business coaching for dentists, orthodontists, and dental startups.

• 2009–2017 Profesor Invitado in the Master’s Program in Orthodontics at the University of Seville, Spain

• Since 2022 Program Director and Senior Lecturer of the Postgraduate Master’s Program “Digital Orthodontics & Aligner Therapy” at DTMD University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg

• Since 2024: Visiting Professor in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Szeged, Hungary
